MEETINGS

Drum Line - All members of drum line please meet in the band room right after announcements today during advisory.

AP English – Those students taking AP English or wishing to take AP English, please see Mrs. Myers to pick up your summer reading assignment.

Sources of Strength - There will be a Sources of Strength end-of-the-year party during advisory Tuesday in the counseling office. Come and celebrate a great year!

Art Club – The Art club will be meeting for the last time on Tuesday, May 16th during Advisory in room 108. They will be planning the Art Club party for Thursday.

NHS – NHS Induction Ceremony is May 17th. New members will meet in the Library no later than 7:00 p.m. NHS senior members will meet in the Atrium no later than 7:00 p.m.

Color Guard - There will be a colorguard meeting to all interested in colorguard Thursday at 6pm in the High School music room. See Mrs. Seubert for more details.

Rowdy Crowd – Rowdy Crowd applications are in the office. All positions are open for the 2017-18 school year. Applications are due back by Monday, May 22nd.

GENERAL

Tennis – Varsity & JV Tennis players need to return their uniforms to room 106 by the end of this week. The Tennis banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 5:00 p.m. at the Idaho Pizza Co.

Track – All track athletes need to turn in clean uniforms to Coach Hines Wednesday, May 17th at 3:00 p.m. out on the track.

Students - Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, please check your school e-mails regularly.

Friday Night School – There is Friday Night Schoolthis week. It is the last week you will be able to sign up without an invitation so sign up today!

Students – Many students have received emails from the library. Those names will be turned into the office today after break if you do not respond.

Sophomores and juniors interested in the medical field or business management please talk to Mrs. Jewkes in the counseling office for a great opportunity and possible senior project idea.

Drivers Ed – The list is posted in the main office. Permits must be picked up May 9-19.

Soccer – There is a sign-up sheet in the main office for any students in grades 9-12 interested in playing soccer this fall. Sign up today and pick up a summer training schedule.

IDLA - School is out for summer. Or is it? If you want to take a class over the summer to get ahead and make room for those amazing electives offered here at Payette River Technical Academy and Emmett High School, IDLA is the perfect opportunity for you. There is a vast array of courses available from core classes, elective classes and several Dual Credit courses offered. Drop by room 112 and see Mrs. Wilfong for registration forms and a list of what courses are available.

Anyone interested in taking an IDLA course for the fall see Mrs. Wilfong and she will get you registered for that as well. She has the list of available courses for the fall. There are some new courses as well.

SENIORS

Cap & Gown – If you have not received you cap & gown please pick it up in the main office.

EHS Scholarship Assembly -EHS Annual Scholarship Assembly is May 17th at 10:40 am. We ask that visitors arrive early and are seated by 10:30 am before the students are released from their classes. Invitations will be sent to students and parents a few weeks before notifying them if they will be receiving an award.

Seniors-Please check your emails if you applied for the GEAR UP scholarship -you need to sign the release form and accept the scholarship ASAP. See Mrs. Hall if you have any questions.

FOR SALE / FUNDRAISING

Yearbooks – This is the last week to purchase a yearbook. Don’t be left out. Reserve your copy before May 19th in the office. The cost goes up after distribution.

Cinnamon Rolls - Mrs. Cannon will be selling her awesome cinnamon rolls this Wednesday during break. Cost will be $2.00 each. Thank you for supporting Mr. Gregory!

SkillsUSA – SkillsUSA will be selling Air Hammocks in the Atrium during Lunch. The cost is $20 for one or $35 for a pair. Colors vary; first come first serve.

Wednesday: pepperoni calzone, Italian meatball sub, sun chips, chocolate chip cookie

Thursday:beef fingers, chicken tenders w/roll. Potato w/gravy

Friday:turkey/cheese deli, teriyaki chicken rice, egg roll, oatmeal scotchies

Salad Bar, Fruit Bar, and milk served with every lunch

State Track – Away at Donna Larson Park

State Tennis – Away– All day

BPA - We have four BPA National Finalists this year! Katie Hall - finished 5th in Advanced Interview Skills, Dane Buck, Zach Jewkes & Ashton Stark were 11th in Economic Research Team and all received national medals. Katie Hall also received a $1000 BPA National Scholarship and received her Ambassador Torch Award - BPA's highest award for academics, leadership and service. Elise Layne was just out of the medal count and in 13th place, Abby Besselievre finished 22nd; KalyseWinegarSavannh Dimmick competed in the Small Business Management Concepts Event! Congratulations to all!.

Girls Doubles – Lily King & Ciera Graviet – District Champs

Boys Singles - Koki Kitada – 2nd place

Boys Doubles – Ben Rooks & Parker Grover – 5th place
