CHORUS:

Five funny clowns, with their floppy, sloppy shoes on

Five funny clowns were bouncing up and down

Five funny clowns, with their floppy, sloppy shoes on

Five funny clowns were dancing around

And one was a happy clown, happy as could be

And this is how he danced when he danced for me.

(Happy musical interlude followed by chorus)

And one was a sad clown, sad as she could be

And this is how she danced when she danced for me.

(Sad musical interlude followed by chorus)

And one was a grumpy clown, grumpy as could be

And this is how he danced when he danced for me.

(Grumpy musical interlude followed by chorus)

And one was a scary clown, scary as could be

And this is how she danced when she danced for me.

(Scary musical interlude followed by chorus)

And one was a sleepy clown, sleepy as could be

And this is how he danced when he danced for me.

(Sleepy musical interlude)

Five funny clowns, with their floppy, sloppy shoes on

Five funny clowns were tired as could be

So five funny clowns, with their floppy, sloppy shoes on

Took off their big shoes and said goodnight to me.
