Emergency Scenarios

You are out cycling in the park with friends. One of your friends is showing off. They try to do a trick and fall off. The bike hits their leg and badly cuts it.

Out shopping with your mates on an icy winter’s day, you see a girl slip badly down some steps. She doesn’t get up, but lies still holding her arm. She is in a lot of pain.

You are visiting your Granny’s house. You are watching T.V. when you hear Granny shout out. When you go into the kitchen she is holding her wrist. Her hand looks red and sore, the kettle has fallen over and there is boiling water over the floor.

On holiday you walk along the beach with your brother and sister when you see someone waving and shouting. A girl has got stuck on a rock and is now surrounded by water.

You are coming back home from school with your friends, when you see smoke coming out of your neighbours bedroom window.

As you are walking to the shops with your brother/ sister you hear a squealing of brakes and a loud bang. When you walk round the corner you see a car has crashed into a signpost. The driver is still in the car but isn’t moving.

You’re at the skate park withyour friends. Everyone is having a great time until one of the boys tries to do a difficult jump. He falls off mid-air and lands badly. He can’t walk and his ankle is a funny shape.

You and your friend have been messing about by the canal. Someone has made a rope swing in the trees next to it. Your friend wants to try it out. He/ she has a really big swing, but then slips and down the slope. He/ she has badly hurt their arm.

There is a bad storm and the wind is very strong. You and your brother are walking home from a friend’s house. There is a huge crash; a large tree has blown over and completely blocked the road.

You and your friends are playing chase around the house. You run through the doorway and pull the door shut. Your friend puts their hand out to push it open. It has glass in it and your friend’s hand smashes the glass, cutting it badly.
