Conditions of Use

The person who books the school is the “Lessee” and responsible for ensuring that the conditions of lets are observed. Community lets are charged £5 per hour (includes meeting room, use of kitchen, toilets). Non community groups by agreement with board. Payment is due within 7 days of the let. Please send to Bookings Secretary at the school.

Opening and Closing

Unless otherwise agreed, school will be opened by a WGCC member and locked at end. Allow time in your booking for setting up/preparation and clearing/cleaning at the end.

We can allow half an hour each end at no charge for this. If you need more set up time contact Bookings Secretary. Times of entry and departure agreed at time of booking. Lets by booking form ONLY.

Hall Cleaning

Please leave rooms as clean and tidy as found. Place any rubbish in waste bin/bag. Please recycle what you can. If bin is full please take any excess rubbish away with you.

Fire Precautions

  • Lessees must read Fire and Evacuation Procedures on display and note all exit locations. Draw the attention of your group to these.
  • All fire exits must be kept clear during your let and all doors leading to them kept clear.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building.
  • In the event of a fire, all persons should leave building by nearest safe exit and wait at fire assembly point in car park.
  • Do NOT attempt to tackle the fire. DIAL 999 ask for FIRE

Accidents

If someone in your group suffers injury during your let, please report incident to WGCC staff who will complete a Health & Safety Report. A first aid kit is available. Please advise WGCC if any items are used, so that they may be replaced.

Personal Electrical Equipment

If used in the building it must comply with IEE regulations and relevant British Standard.
