APPLICANT INFORMATION AND SELECTION GUIDELINES

The Summerville Rotary Club will present two $2,000 scholarships to seniors at Summerville High School, Pinewood Preparatory School, Cane Bay High School, or who are sponsored by a Rotarian. As a guide to prospective applicants, the following are some of the areas that will be considered in awarding the scholarships:

Scholastic Standing and Achievement

Personal Goals

Extracurricular Activities

Work Experience

Financial Need

Rotary Values(service to the community and world; service above self)

Application process – Please provide the information requested on the attached form. We fully realize this application form is somewhat limiting. Please feel free to attach additional sheets to expand on a given area. We do not require or desire letters of recommendation from teachers or other individuals. You do not need to submit your transcript with your application. We will verify academic and transcript information for the finalists before selecting the winners. You should ask your school counselor to review your application for completeness. Personal interviews may be conducted before the final selection is made.
