CRC Update /
  • See Attached Report
  • Stats for Greenshack Program – 7.5 participants/hour at Charlesworth. 5.7 participants/hour at Crossing, last year was 6.6 participants/hour. Possibly due to children aging and participating in other programs.
  • New this year is the all year greenshack program – happening at Ellerslie crossing starting this week. Average of 7 kids/night.
  • There has been changes to the neighbourhood park development program in terms of process and procurement. Before communities picked the supplier, now the city is the tender. 100% of the project (community league portion) needs to be in place before proceeding. City will come out with tools & training. Comes into effect 2016.
  • Trees in Ellerslie Crossing – some hazardous trees (dead, fallen, etc) will be removed starting Sept 28. Safety signage will be placed, will be working for about a week.

Square /
  • Amanda set up account, square takes 7 days to get here. Linked to league bank account. Takes all major credit cards.
  • Items have been set up (membership, donations, SUTP Books). There is a 2.75% charge per swipe, as keyed in it is 3.5% + 15c per keyed in transaction. Should the league charge the customer for the fee or should the league foot the charges? Amanda and Alicia think we should charge the customer, Alicia thinks an extra $1 fee is acceptable. The $1 can be added to the transaction.
