ELIGIBILITY POLICY FOR LAY TEAM SERVICE
The Lutheran Cursillo Movement of Arizona Secretariat policy for team service is as follows: ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST:
1. Have attended a Cursillo weekend (or similar expression) and our LCMA Leaders’ School. *
2. Be an active member of a Lutheran church.
3. Be an active member of group reunion
4. Commit to serve ONE TEAM AT A TIME, no matter which expressions are involved. You cannot fully serve one team while committed to another. This causes resentments and divided loyalties. The only exception is the acceptance of a call which makes ABSOLUTELY NO TIME REQUIREMENT BEFORE THE CURRENT SERVICE IS COMPLETE.
LEVELS OF ELIGIBILITY:
1. COOK - Be on the eligibility list (See #1. above)
2. ROLLISTA - Recommended that the candidate has served on a cook team unless a
physical handicap prevents this. If other reasons exist, Secretariat
should be consulted first, remembering that servant hood is best learned
as a cook.
3. HEAD COOK - Must have served on one rollo team and two cook teams
4. A. H. COOK - Must have served on two cook teams
5. CO-RECTOR- Must have served on two cook teams and two rollo teams, at least
once as a primary rollista.
6. RECTOR - Must have served as a Co-Rector
Any exceptions to numbers 2 through 6, above, must be granted by the Secretariat.
*Each person coming from another adult expression (Via de Cristo, Walk to Emmaus, Tres Dias, etc) who attends sessions 1 and 2 of our LCMA Leaders’ School has the same level of eligibility as a new Cursillista on the list. Prior service in other expressions can not count. The non-adult members of Tirosh and other teen expressions (Chayah, Chrysalis, My Fathers House, etc.) must attend an expression like Cursillo, currently be Lutheran, and attend our leaders’ school to qualify for Cursillo teams.
