Eligibility: 13- 16 Years old or under girls who are born in 1999to 2002.

The Regional Netball 16's Academyis suitable for netballers who want to further develop their skills and take the next step in their netball pathway. The squads will be run by the HK National Coach,Connie Wong (HKNA Technical Manager and a Netball Australia Level Two accredited coach) and you will also have the chance of training alongside the best netballers in HK for this age group. HKNA use the Academy program as a platform for identify potential athletes for the National Youth Squads. A touring team will be selected from the two squads to travel overseas for a training tour.

Regional Academy Structure:

Phase One: Basics and Fitness – 6 sessions. Limited number.

Phase Two: Game sense and court play – Split into Kowloon and Island squads (6 and 5 sessions respectively).

Phase Three: Kowloon and Island squads selected and will run simultaneously. A touring team will be selected from these two squads.

Aim of Phase One and Two is to prepare athletes for trials for the Phase 3 squads, however it is NOT compulsory for the athletes to attend.

Island Squad: THURSDAY evenings from 7pm to 9pm at HK Park Sports Centre OR Sun Yet Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre.

Kowloon Squad: Saturday mornings at Shek Kip Mei Sports Centre,Shun Lee Tsuen Sports Centre and Fa Yuen St Sports Centre. (Please note that the girls will have plenty of time to get to their JNL games.)

Regional Academy Training Schedules

Attendance for squad selection trialiscompulsory.If you are selected into the squad, an 80% attendance rate is required for all the trainings. (ie. you cannot miss more than 2 sessions). Touring team sessions are subject to change depending the tour dates.
