Induction Ceremony: Elected officers will present at the induction ceremony - don’t worry! You’ll have a script, we’ll practice, and you’ll know what to do! :) - Thursday, October 15th
We need students to bake cookies/cupcakes/treats for the induction ceremony. You can earn outside-school service hours for this. Please sign up with Ms. Butler ASAP. We need a lot!
Committees:
Events - decorating, setting up, and cleaning up for events
Read Across America - setting up and packing bags for RAA
Green - creating and posting posters about helping the environment, emptying teachers’ recycling bins, coming up with “Green” tips for WPBC
Sign-in- (2 people other than E-board) - be responsible for making sure students sign in during meetings
Computer Operations - (2 people other than E-board) - operate computer while Ms. Butler and E-board direct meetings
Sign up on the committee clipboard with Ms. Butler today or tomorrow Sept. 24th-25th
Candidates: Speeches
Remember, vote for the most responsible person for the job.
If you don’t know whom to choose, don’t vote for either candidate - you wouldn’t want to help elect someone who can’t handle the position.
Election Day!
Who: You, the voter, candidates, and Ms. Butler/ Srta. B. … and America
What: There will be a box, half-sheet ballots, and a checklist with member names
When: Tuesday, September 29th before 1st hour, during passing time (just don’t be late!) and after school
Where: Ms. Butler’s room (B1), basement, Parcells Middle School, Grosse Pointe, MI, USA, North America, the Western Hemisphere, Earth
Why: It is your civic duty to vote.
We’re only doing this on Tuesday. If you’re absent or know you’ll be absent, see me Monday or Wednesday ASAP.
All candidates will be informed of the results, and then the results will be posted on the website.
