Elatec presents a Development Board for RFID modules
Interface testing
Munich (Germany), 7June 2017– Elatec RFID Systems, manufacturer of RFID reader/writer modules, presents the TWN4 MultiTech Nano Development Board. It provides RFID-solution developers with an environment in which they can test the interfaces of the TWN4 MultiTech Nano multi-standard RFID reader module, which covers all current 125kHz, 134.2kHz and 13.56MHz RFID technologies along with the ability to read NFC tags. The extremely compact TWN4 MultiTech Nano measures only 31 x 17.8 x 2.5mm.Its components are located only on one side, making it particularly well suited for surface mounting. It can be soldered directly to a printed circuit board or attached to it with pin connectors.
The TWN4 MultiTech Nano Development Board offers the interfaces USB, Micro-USB, RS232 as well as two serial interfaces (COM) to connect external add-ons such as BLE modules (Bluetooth Low Energy). Since TWN4 MultiTech Nano is a reader module without integrated antennas, the development board features LF and HF antennas. Furthermore, two SAM sockets provide the option of using a key for security-critical applications. LEDs enable you to see whether commands reach the right interfaces. Because the antenna port is different between the two module versions, TWN4 MultiTech Nano and TWN4 MultiTech Nano LEGIC, one can use a breadboard to adapt the antennas to the respective module.
