PRESS RELEASE

Bologna, 29/09/2011

EIMA even greater as of 2012 with EIMA Green, the international salon on greens

The agreement between BolognaFiere and Unacoma Service signed for bringing the gardening sector back within the great agricultural mechanization exhibition EIMA International, set for November 7 to 11, 2012, and for holding five more editions of EIMA from 2016 to 2024 on commitment to the project for renovating the trade fair center. Beginning with the next edition in November 2012 20,000 m² set aside for technologies for greens to be added to the 100,000 m² allocated to the agricultural sector.

EIMA Green is the name of the new trade fair dedicated to gardening and the care and maintenance of greens organized by Unacoma Service in cooperation with BolognaFiere slated for a first edition November 7 to 11, 2012, to run alongside EIMA International, the international exhibition of agricultural machinery. Thanks to an agreement between the service company of Unacoma, the national association of agricultural machinery manufacturers, and the Bologna trade fair agency, the greens sector will be returned to the framework of the international agricultural mechanization exhibition staged as one of the events of greatest prestige in the sector at the world level.

The new review will take the place of the ExpoGreen exhibition which had been added to the Bologna trade fair calendar for the month of September in the odd years and now linked to EIMA beginning in November 2012.

This operation, based on a substantial increase in exhibition area, will give EIMA International a breadth of merchandise on an exceptional scale and provide business people with a single trade fair event covering the entire galaxy of mechanization. To the 100,000 m² allocated for the agricultural machinery review another 20,000 m² dedicated to gardening will be added. With the accord for EIMA Green to run with EIMA, Unacoma Service and the BolognaFiere have already agreed to renew contracts beyond the earlier date of 2014 to extend these events to five more editions, from 2016 to 2024, on condition of additional renovations for enlarging the trade fair quarters as planned by BolognaFiere.

Unacoma Service Managing Director Guglielmo Gandino explained, “The EIMA Green project is intended to reconcile two requirements which have come up over these years with exhibiting companies and businesspeople and those are to have a strong and attractive container like the great EIMA review and the one for safeguarding the specific nature of the gardening sector, targeted not only on professionals but also on the ample crowds of enthusiasts and hobbyists.” He went on to say that, “EIMA Green has chosen as a logo a gentle image of a leaf held in the palm of a hand precisely to indicate that, along with technology, the green philosophy and quality of life will be the strong themes for the review.”

BolognaFiere President Duccio Campagnoli said, “This agreement is of extraordinary importance because it makes EIMA in Bologna with EIMA Green the biggest international event in the sector. This way, BolognaFiere is renewing its own vocation as a great trade fair center for Italian industry and its production districts with an increasingly closer partnership with the manufacturers’ association.” He also affirmed, “With this accord, BolognaFiere is completing the renewal of contracts for the coming years for all the big events in sectors which confirm the excellence of Italian industry in the world, from the agri-industry to ceramics, from cars to the leather industry, and confirms itself as the leading Made in Italy showcase in the world.”
