Who can attend?
The camp is open to any area girls, regardless of what school she attends.
Camp counselors
The camp is operated by Effingham High School’s Head Coach Jeff Schafer, and assistants Aaron Witges, Troy Van Blaricum, Whitney Duncan, Megan McDonald and former and current players will also make up the staff.
Camp focus
The camp will focus on developing fundamentals of each basketball camper. Through lecture, drills, individual skill sessions, and film, each camper will receive detailed instruction on ball handling, shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, footwork, rebounding, and team play concepts. We want your child to learn to play better basketball while having fun.
8 ft goals for the younger girls
Smaller goals will be used for grades 1-4 to ensure that the girls are learning proper fundamental regardless of strength.
Games Daily
Each camper will play in 1-2 games daily. These will be 3 on 3, 4 on 4, or 5 on 5 games. Numerous other awards will be distributed in daily camp contests for all different age levels.

PARENTAL RELEASE FORM
I hereby authorize the staff of the Effingham Girls’ Basketball Camp to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. I hereby waive and release the camp from any injuries or illnesses incurred while at camp. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that would be affected by the named camper’s participation in the camp program, as outlined in the pamphlet.
