Purpose
The Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) is a program designed to strengthen education about the environment in California public schools. The EEI curriculum includes Teacher Editions (TE), Big Books (BB), Supporting Materials (SM), Workbook Journals (WB), Readers (READ), Dictionaries (DICT), Word Wall Cards (WWC), Student Maps (STM), Wall Maps (WM), Games (GA), Posters (PO), and PowerPoint Presentations (PPT).
Recommendation
The EEI curriculum units reviewed by the secondary history–social science panel are recommended because they are aligned with the applicable History–Social Science Content Standards and the Environmental Principles and Concepts. Revisions, and edits and corrections required as a condition of this recommendation are listed in the “Edits and Corrections” section at the end of the report.
