CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
The state of California has adopted the Career and Technical Education (CTE) standards that outline fifteen career pathways for students to explore. Career pathways answer the question “Why do I have to learn this?” because students have the opportunity to engage in relevant, real-world learning and accelerate their career development. Career pathways prepare students for both college and the work-world because completion of a pathway will ensure that the student has mastered knowledge and skills needed for lasting success in the modern economy.
Yuba CityUnifiedSchool District is leading the way by offering students the opportunity to participate in our Career Pathway programs. Our approach is grounded in its relevancy and rigor. By combining a college preparatory curriculum with an exceptional career and technical education, our career pathways lead to real-world success for our students and to a world-class labor force for our community and state.
