Qualifications
(General education/further and professional) /
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification, or significant experience and excellent track record.

  • Relevant post graduate professional qualification.

Experience
(Previous/current work or any other relevant experience) /
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the training and education sector
  • Experience of working to regulatory requirements in relation to the development and maintenance of new and existing qualifications and units
  • Managing a portfolio of qualifications
  • Experience and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements relating to unit writing, credit levelling and rules of combination
  • Excellent understanding of qualification frameworks and the requirements of the qualification regulatory bodies (Ofqual and QAA)
  • Experience of writing qualification specifications and developing supporting resources
  • Experience of tailoring learning and assessment packages to a broad range of markets
  • Good knowledge and understanding of national and regional developments in education and funding policy
  • Experience of working to tight deadlinesand objectives within budget.

  • Experience of working for an Awarding Organisation
  • Experience of working with employers ideally in a qualification development context
  • Experience of identifying, deploying and monitoring the work of external consultants where relevant
  • Project management experience
  • Experience and knowledge of proprietary Regulators systems e.g. RITS
