Employments

Following a postdoctoral fellowship of New York Department of Mental Hygiene on Brain research at Nathan Kline Brain Research Institute between 1968 and 1970 he was nominated as Asst. Professor at Hacettepe University in Ankara. In 1971 he was elected as director of The Institute of Biophysics and nominated as Assoc. Professor in 1973.

During this period (1970-1978) at Hacettepe, the PI published several papers on brain research and circulation research with the core philosophy on the importance of oscillatory dynamics in physiology. The monograph EEG-Brain Dynamics (1980, Elsevier) was a result of this research period.

In 1978 PI was invited to University Kiel as Richard Merton visiting Professor nominated by the German research Council DFG.

In 1980 he took a position at the Medical University Lübeck as Professor of Physiology for a teaching and research during a period of twenty years.

Between 2000-2006 PI has been Professor of Biophysics and Director of Multidisciplinary Brain Dynamics Research Center of the Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir. He has published a monograph on “Memory and Brain Dynamics (2004), he organized a multidisciplinary and international workshop and a The World Congress of the International Organization of Psychophysiology (2006).

Currently PI is professor of Physiology and Biophysics and Director of the Brain dynamics, Cognition and Complex Systems at Istanbul Kultur University.
