Editing your MEASURES and TARGETS in WEAVE:
Editing your MEASURE (see Editing your TARGETS below):
1) Select your program or unit and the assessment year you wish to work in from the drop down lists under the title “Cycle and Entity Selection”.
2) Select “Measures & Findings” from the “Assessment” menu
3) Click on the small gray arrow next to the measure you would like to see. To edit this measure click on the edit button.
4) Change the definition of what type of measure you are using by clicking on the “Edit” button in the “Select Source of Evidence” box.
5) Select the type of evidence your measure is by clicking on the button next to the appropriate description.
6) Make your edits to your measure’s title by typing the changes in the “Condensed Description” box (the top green arrow). Make your edits to your measure’s full description by typing the changes in the “Description” box (the bottom green arrow).
7) Change which outcomes / objectives the measure is gathering data on by clicking on the “Edit Relationships” button in the “Select Related Outcomes / Objectives” box.
8) Then click on the checkboxes next to each of the outcomes / objectives with which you want to link the measure.
9) Be sure to select the year you want these changes to be active through using the “Active through Cycle” pull down menu. If you want them to stay indefinitely, select “Keep Active” in the “Active through Cycle” pull down menu.
10) Once you have made your final changes be sure to change the “Entry Status” button from “Draft / In-Progress” to “Final”.
11) If you are working in a “current” or “past” assessment year (see top green arrow below), then changes you make will not automatically be updated to your future year’s assessment plan.
If you want the changes you are making to be applied to not just the assessment year you are working in but to future year(s) as well, click on the “Select Fields” button under the Copy Edits Forward box. [Note: The Copy Edits Forward box will not appear if you are editing your assessment plan’s “future” year.]
12) To copy your edits forward, select the edits you want to copy forward (i.e. the areas you have changed that you want to copy forward) and the assessment year(s) into which you want to forward the edits.
13) Finally, to save all your editing changes, click on the “Save” button.
Editing your TARGET
1) To edit the measure’s targets, follow steps 1 and 2 above to pull up your list of measures. Click on the small gray arrow next to the measure whose targets you would like to edit. To edit a particular target, click on its “Edit Target” button.
NOTE: There will be a separate target for each outcome / objective with which the measure is linked and each target is edited independently of every other target.
2) Edit the description of the target by making changes in the description box.
3) Be sure to select the year you want these changes to be active through using the “Active through Cycle” pull down menu. If you want them to stay indefinitely, select “Keep Active” in the “Active through Cycle” pull down menu.
4) Once you have made your final changes be sure to change the “Entry Status” button from “Draft / In-Progress” to “Final”.
