Title: Aviation Boatswains Mate Handler
Description: As an ABH, my primary duties consisted of the safe handling of various aircraft onboard naval ships including parking, towing, and directing. My efforts were rewarding in a position with the ships flight deck crash and salvage crew, where I then began training in advanced flight deck firefighting procedures and aircraft salvage procedures. I was responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep of various tools and rescue equipment. After obtained a position as a senior crash and salvage crewmen, I then began operation firefighting vehicles and cranes, as well as assisting in the training of junior crewman. During the first two years of my enlistment I had been assigned to the ships security defense force(SSDF) where my duties consisted of armed/unarmed watches, roving, log keeping, vehicle search, baggage search, and ID check. I have operated metal detectors and was qualified in the use of various firearms including pistols, shot guns, and rifles. I have since then been honorably discharged.

Voluntary services

/ I have volunteered and participated in the Watch D.O.G.S program (Dads of Great Students), at Georgetown Primary School in Chesapeake VA, where I helped teachers and students with everyday tasks while providing a strong male presence throughout the building and property.
Nearing the end of my military service, I began volunteering once a week at the Sentara Geriatric Care Center in Virginia Beach, VA for the Meals On Wheels program, where I began delivering hot meals to in home care patients.
I have also volunteered at the Light the Night Walk in Virginia Beach VA, to raise awareness for cancer patients. I helped set up and hold crafting activities for children of all ages.
