EDIBLE CELL PROJECT

Assignment: Construct an edible model of either a plant cell or an animal cell and write explanations as to

the relationships between the candy chosen to represent the organelle.

Cell Model Guidelines:

·  Make your edible model out of a cookie & frosting for cytoplasm (both provided for you)

·  Please do not use Jell-O or gelatin products (they tend to melt and be very messy in class)

·  Make it look as realistic as possible (shapes of candy similar to shapes of organelles represented)

·  Be sure to include all cell structures listed below that are BOLD (#1-5) depending on the type of cell chosen

·  A written explanation for each organelle and candy represented typed or written in final copy
