5.  Principal’s Report by Dr. Houseknecht

·  Dr. Houseknecht thanked the PTA for the gifts given. He updated the attendees on the status of those gifts. The replacement kiln for the Art Lab has been ordered and should arrive in the next 10-12 weeks. The sound system in the gym is in the process of being updated and should be completed in January. The student organized talent show, held in February/March, will be able to utilize this new equipment. Dr. Houseknecht mentioned the possibility of adding a sound and light booth in order to safely secure the new and expensive equipment. Booths of this nature can be very expensive and estimates are currently being taken. The new Eaglevision II will be installed above the water fountain outside the gym and Old Meeting Room. It should be up and running for Media Club use within the next several weeks.

·  Dr. Houseknecht discussed the notable absence of our international flags in the hallway. Student Council discovered that all places of origin were not being represented. Nine new flags were added bringing the total number of flags to fifty-one. Labels will be made for each flag and redisplayed in the hallway.

6.  The PTA meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
