  • learn about loci and understand how they relate to equations in the coordinate grid
  • utilize compass & straight edgeconstructions to create special segments
  • apply their knowledge of linear and quadratic equation to develop equations of lines or parabolas with specific qualities

Review assignments will be assigned every Friday and due the following Friday. Late assignments will lose 10 points and can receive a maximum score of 50% if handed in after I grade and hand back the assignment. A weekly, online assignment will be posted every Friday and be due the following Thursday at midnight. The goal of these assignments is to review older material that has already been taught.

  • Final Grade – Student’s final average as calculated with the following formula

.2(Q1 average) + .2(Q2 average) + .2(Q3 average) + .2(Q4 average) +.2(Regents exam grade)

Teacher Availability

In addition to advisement, I will be available before school and after school on a limited basis. (Check with me before staying after). I strongly encourage students to see me if they need help with their homework, to study for tests or work in groups.

Cheating

While working in groups is ok, there is a big difference between sharing ideas and copying work. Any student caught copying or claiming someone else’s work as their own will receive a zero for that assignment and your parents will be notified. A second offense will result in disciplinary action by the Assistant Principal.
