Check control unit is correctly earthed
Check the security of all umbilical cable plugs
Check that a data acquisition module is installed for each FPI
Check battery is installed and correctly connected

Check actuator polarity (positive for rotary actuator or negative for linear actuator)
Check FPI phase CTs have been tested and shorting-link removed

Install Paknet pad
Connect aerial lead, power supply and data lead (do not connect the data cable to the RTU at this stage)
Register Paknet pad
Check pad registration using Vodafone automated health check (08700 700600 option 1) – enter ESN and record RSSI (>60), FSSI (>14), NUA and base station
Check pad configuration using Vodafone Customer Services (08700 700600 option 2)
