Graduation Requirements

Students must earn ½ credit for Economics and ½ credit for American Government to meet state requirements and graduate from CSAS. The 1st 9 weeks will be the Economics credit and 2nd 9 weeks will be the American Government credit. If you fail Economics the 1st 9 weeks, YOU WILL NOT GRADUATE. If you fail American Government the 2nd 9 weeks, YOU WILL NOT GRADUATE. You are required to pass both classes separately. If this is not clear, ask NOW. This semester has numerous interruptions and students will miss class due to other school-related activities. It is your responsibility to complete all assignments, seminars, papers, tests, etc. It will be the end of the semester before you know it.

Class Expectations:

1. You are to be in class on time and prepared to work. Please refer to the tardy policy in the Student Handbook. There is a Hamilton County exemption policy for exams. However it is up to the teacher to decide if a student should be exempt or not. Graduating is you top priority, be in class on time everyday.

2. If you miss three days, I will be calling your parents to find out why. Graduating is you top priority, be in class everyday.

3. Out of class assignments, essays, research papers, and projects are to be typed and in APA format.

4. If you have an excused absence, you will have 5 class days, beginning the day you return, to make up missed work.

5. It is your responsibility to turn in all assignments, papers, etc. the day they are due. I will not accept late work unless your excused absence has been verified by the attendance clerk.

6. You signed the plagiarism policy and I expect you to honor it and the Honor Code.

Materials needed:

The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels Need by ???

3 ring binder, spiral notebook, etc

black or blue pens

Two of the following items due by Thursday August 15th:

-roll of paper towels

-air freshener

-pack of black or blue Pilot G-2 Gel Pens

-Kleenex

Tutoring:

I will be available every morning beginning around 8:00 am

Seminars:

There are five scheduled seminars the 1st nine weeks. Each seminar is worth 20 points. The five seminars will equal one test score.

I UNDERSTAND THE MY 1ST 9 WEEKS ECONOMICS GRADE WILL NOT BE AVERAGED WITH MY 2ND 9 WEEKS AMERICAN GOVERNMENT GRADE.
