Course Description:

This course provides an analysis of some of the most pressing issues and problems facing present day Third World Countries. These range from Poverty and Income Distribution to Population and Human Resources to Urbanization and Migration to aspects that relate to the International Economy, including Foreign Aid, Foreign Investment and International trade.

Course Objectives

The objective is to provide a broad based understanding of the existing economic realities and to begin to formulate the questions that must be answered in the search for appropriate national and international development policies and strategies.
