ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR EDC DEPARTMENT

Must be able to perform complex economic development and administrative duties for the Economic Development Department. Must be able to work independently within a framework of established policies and procedures. Will respond to request from outside interest as well as interface with other city department staff to carry out the duties of the department. Will be responsible for preparing the quarterly economic development newsletter for submission to the economic development director.

Position requires basic understanding of economic development and/or community development with up to two years related experience. Graduate of Basic Economic Development course preferred. HS diploma or GED plus vocational/technical training or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must possess knowledge of media type software i.e., Adobe, Photo Editor, and/or similar software applications. Possess a working knowledge of social media applications including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Marketing experience a plus.

SALARY RANGE: $14.87/$30,932 - $17.77/$36966

FINANCE SPECIALISTFINANCE DEPARTMENT

Performs routine payroll tasks to help ensure the efficient processing of City’s payroll and other financial functions. Must be able to perform a full range of duties within a framework of established procedures, with only occasional supervision or assistance. Incumbent shall perform related work as required. H.S. diploma or GED plus vocational/technical training in general accounting, supplemented by up to two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SALARY: $14.87/$30,932

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR ISTREET DIVISION

Operates heavy equipment and various machinery in the performance of storm drain cleaning and maintenance, right-of-way construction and maintenance, major and minor street repairs, street and driveway paving, street overlay, street sign maintenance, the beautification and maintenance of City public areas, street sweeping and other street maintenance functions. Must possess a valid Class “B” CDL state driver’s license.

SALARY: $12.17/$25,306

HS Diploma or GED supplemented by up to two years of previous experience in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. PART TIME CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU CLERKCVB DIVISION

Performs complex administrative duties for the Convention and Visitors Bureau, including assisting with routine and non-routine administrative details and communicating with the public on behalf of the department. Must be able to act without close supervision within a framework of established policies and procedures, and exercise independent judgment. Must have dependable transportation to conduct some of the local business of the CVB department.

SALARY: $11.04 HR.
