Dear travel professionals and travel enthusiasts,
We are at the beginning of a new travel season for Croatia and I wanted to take this opportunity to extend a few words. Since October, when I was entrusted with the position of the CNTONY director, I had the opportunity to meet some of you and was delighted with your support and interest in Croatia. 2010 was a great year for Croatian tourism as a lot of records were made. It is clear that not only Croatian, but global tourism is on a rebound, and despite the newly developed situation in some parts of the World, we remain optimistic and are looking forward to the challenges of this new season. DUBROVNIK PROMOTION IN CALIFORNIA
February 10th, San Francisco, February 14th Los Angeles
A promotion of Croatia “Welcome to Croatia – Welcome to Dubrovnik” aimed at travel professionals, sponsored by the City of Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Croatian National Tourist Board, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, will be held in San Francisco on February 10th and Los Angeles on February 14th. A presentation focused on natural, cultural and historical attractions of Croatia and its unique city od Dubrovnik – jewel of Adriatic; city rich in history and art, one of Croatia's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. UNIVERSAL TRAVEL SYSTEM TO START A LUXURY TOUR TO CROATIA
Universal Travel System agency (UTS) created and is to start a unique travel concept to Croatia. A luxurious tour that includes a Personal Tour Director, best possible accommodations and services has a 23 days itinerary. The itinerary includes Zagreb, Pula, Opatija, Plitvice Lakes, Split, and Dubrovnik among others, on land and concludes with a 7-day cruise on a private yacht.
EASYJET ADDS ZAGREB TO ITS DESTINATIONS
The leading European low budget airline EasyJet has recently added Zagreb to its network of destinations. Since November 2010 flights have been scheduled, from Zagreb to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, four times a week and it has been announced that there will be five flights a week connecting Zagreb to London Gatwick airport starting in mid February 2011. EasyJet has already established flights to Split and Dubrovnik.
NEW WEB PORTAL FOR THE CONTINENTAL TOURISM
Kamonaizlet.hr is a new web portal which presents an overview of the tourism offer in continental Croatia, provides information about agro, sport and health tourism and also recommends quality restaurants and bars. ST. BLAISE AND CARNIVAL FESTIVITIES

Traditional festivities in honor of St. Blaise, patron saint of Dubrovnik, will again mark this month for Dubrovnik and its guests. Many cultural events will take place, as well as colorful procession through the city. These festivities are preceded by Carnival days, celebrated in Dubrovnik and surrounding areas as well.
