EAST PETERSBURG BOROUGH PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

The regular meeting of the East Petersburg Borough Planning Commission was held on the above date with the following member’s present: John Schick, John Kerchner, David Keener, Doug Nolt, William Pfautz, John Wolf, Rory Buckwalter, and Zoning Officer Ed Fisher. Absent:

Attendees: David Garman, Bill Sell (Zoning Hearing Board), Bill Troop

John Schick called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M.

Public Comment:

New Business:

David Garman has applied for a Special Exception to permit the storage of landscaping equipment inside the building (Building B) and park landscaping trucks and trailers alongside the building (Building B) in a Neighborhood Commercial (NC) Zoning District, Section 306.B.2. Testimony regarding the property at 1575 State Street, East Petersburg Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania was provided by Mr. Garman (Tenant) and Mr. Troop (Owner).

It was moved and seconded (Kerchner/Nolt) to recommend approval of the Special Exception to permit the storage of landscaping equipment inside the building (Building B) and park landscaping trucks and trailers alongside the building (Building B) in a Neighborhood Commercial (NC) Zoning District, Section 306.B.2. Unanimous approval.

The regular meeting of the East Petersburg Borough Planning Commission was held on the above date with the following member’s present: David Keener, John Kerchner, Doug Nolt, William Pfautz, John Wolf, and Zoning Officer Ed Fisher. Absent: John Schick, Rory Buckwalter

Attendees: Guy & Beth Rohrer, Bill Sell (Zoning Hearing Board)

David Keener called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Public Comment: None

It was moved and seconded (Pfaultz/Wolf) to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2012 meeting. Unanimous approval.

New Business:

1.  Application of Guy & Beth Rohrer, 12 Leeds Court Lancaster PA 17602, requesting a change from one Nonconforming Use to another Nonconforming use subject to Section 805.F of the East Petersburg Zoning Ordinance for the property at 6510 Main St. Applicant is proposing a private physical training facility by appointment only.

Mr. and Mrs. Rohrer explained what they were planning on doing with the property, turning the house back into a residence and using the garage as a physical training facility. Mr. Rohrer said there would be no more than two cars in the parking lot at one time as there would be no more than two clients at one time.

It was moved and seconded (Kerchner/Nolt) to recommend approval of the Special Exception to change from one Nonconforming Use to another Nonconforming use subject to Section 805.F of the East Petersburg Zoning Ordinance for the property at 6510 Main St. Unanimous approval.

David Keener called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Public Comment: None

It was moved and seconded (Pfaultz/Wolf) to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2012 meeting. Unanimous approval.

New Business:

1.  Application of Kevin & Tammy Gantz, regarding the property at 2595 State Street, East Petersburg Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Applicant wishes to apply for a Special Exception, Section 403.D.8, Home Occupation.

It was moved and seconded (Kerchner/Nolt) to recommend approval of the Special Exception to change from one Nonconforming Use to another Nonconforming use subject to Section 805.F of the East Petersburg Zoning Ordinance for the property at 6510 Main St. Unanimous approval.
