Greetings Anderson Family descendants!
The Jacksonville Committee pray that everyone had a safe and happy holiday. Happy New Year! Now it is time to plan for the Anderson family reunion in Jacksonville Florida, June 30- July 3, 2016. We are excited to be honoring our past, focusing on the present, while keeping an eye towards the future. As we move into the 21st century and beyond, information for the 2016 Anderson Family Reunion has begun with an exciting location and activities for all to enjoy. Plus, be sure to pack your beach gear!!!!
The family reunion will be held Double Tree Hotel, located conveniently in downtown Jacksonville (address:1201 Riverplace Blvd. Jacksonville,Fl 32207) Special room rates for our event are:
Occupancy / Deluxe King or Double / Riverfront King or Double / Riverfront Jr. SuiteSingle or Double (1-2 people in room) / $99.00 / $119.00 / $149.00
Triple (3 people in room) / $109.00 / $129.00 / $159.00
Quad (4 people in room) / $119.00 / $149.00 / $169.00
Your room includes hot breakfast each morning, and discounted self parking for $5.00 per day. Room prices will be honored three days pre and three days post the contracted blocked dates. A block of rooms are being held under: Anderson Family Reunion.Reservations may be made immediately by calling(904) 398-8800 and asking forthe Anderson Family Reunion group rate. Please make sure you mention this in order to get the special rate. Reservations must be made on or before the cut off date of 5/31/2016 by 12AM in order to be eligible for the group rate.
Guest room check-in/check-out time: check-in time 3pm and check-out time 12pm. All guests arriving before the scheduled time will be accommodated, as rooms are available. The Front desk and bell staff will be happy to provide luggage storage in the event rooms are not available.

We have requested that family member use the US Postal Service to mail your completed registration form(s) for the 2016 Reunion. Enclosed the Registation form will include registering for the banquet, family BBQ, game night and purchase of the family t-shirt. The registration form is included in this envelope. The family reunion will include: (detailed itinerary)
- Hospitality room, where we can gather and spend time together (open at all times).
- Meet & greet
Thursday, June 30 at 6pm in the Hospitality room and Friday, July 1 9am-2pm in the Hospitality room. - Swimming lessons
Bruce and Marvin will be providing swimming lesson at the hotel’s pool on Friday and Saturday. Times will be announced. - Game night
Thursday, June 30 and Saturday, July 2 - 7pm-11pm in the Hospitality room. - Family banquet
The banquet will be Friday, July 1 at 5pm-10pm. Party with family 10pm until.(Room will be announced). - Family BBQ
The family BBQ willbe atNaval Station Mayport on Saturday, July 2 at 12pm-5pm. A family photo will be taken at the BBQ.Security must complete a background check. I need complete name (LName, FName MI.) DOB and last 4 SSN to be placed on the base access list.Please email no later than March 30th, only for those 18and older.(Not required if you have a valid military ID).
Sunday church service
Sunday church service will begin at 9:30am-11am in the hotel (A room has been reserved for this event. The room will be announced at the BBQ on Saturday.) Ask for 1pm check out when you arrive.
Morning walk/jog/run on the river Family members will meet in the lobby of the hotel at 6am each morning (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). We encourage everyone to get their fitness on!
Total cost to attend all reunion events is $125.00 for adults and $65.00 for children 5-12 years old.
