Service user involvement

Launchpad: 6 Person Centred reviews carried out. Richard had his. Richard is very independent. He can come and talk to us about what he does on launchpad. He wants to keep his friendship group and friends from the day service.

Havant hub: x 4 membership.

Training with Anita – pathway to employment – Anita to do a presentation at the LIG

The LIG reps will also meet in February to discuss LIG reps job description.

Bernadette said that two LIGs reps are part of a “safeguarding subgroup” for the peer review in March ref safeguarding. We will know more about it soon.

LD framework:

Dates set for service users and parents/carers affected sorted. A letter will be sent early January to those affected.

Partnership Board matters

We talked about support. Jess Hutchinson said that we need to involve people from transition.

From April 2015 with the new LD framework, providers will have to provide the right support. One way to monitor this could be quality checkers.

There will be a big recruitment campaign at HCC for carers support, via Miriam Smith.

Phones are still being used when supporting people. This is not acceptable.

Safer Places can also be developed.

Providers to come to the LIG meetings and explain what and how they do things.

Helen is keen to trial the adult assessment monitoring. She will email Jess Hutchison.

LIG reps Elections: we will hold elections in the LIGs for LIG reps and parents/carers reps. The co-chair of the Partnership Board will be elected at the June board meeting.

Michelle Stickland from Health has given the health action plan (uploaded on the Partnership Board website). Please email Flo if you cannot find the link.

Helen has the liaison nurse contact at Frimley hospital if any one is interested.

Helen said that she went to the LD grant panel. £750 can be put aside for each LIG for parents/carers workshops/expenses etc. Each LIG has to agree that the money can go into the LIG pot. AGREED. Helen will email Emma Dyer.

People who have made bids will know towards the end of January 2015 if their bid(s) have been successful or not

· she will be going to the LD Partnership Board to observe at the February meeting. It has been agreed with Cllr Fairhurst and the LIG reps.
