3. / School Finance Update
  • Extended briefing 29 June – agenda is out
  • Coral Miller is the new interim finance manager – to be introduced at the meeting on 29 June
  • Matthew Pope is the contact at WBC regarding accessing apprenticeship fund
VB left the meeting at 9.50am
4. / Rainbow Plan
Discussion about new Rainbow Plan template – most schools were currently updating their plans. WBC contact details on template are out of date.
No one had carried out a full emergency practice. Most present had carried out lock in/ lock out practise.
5. / Privacy Notices
Discussion as to what was sent to parents with regard to Data Protection and Privacy Notices. Hillside have a Governor who is working with WBC to get Privacy Notices updated. Hillside have an interim update that they will use in September 17.

6. / Risk Assessments
Whiteknights asked if anyone had adopted a policy “Risk of Children being drawn into terrorism”. Consensus didn’t realise there was a separate policy but thought it was part of the Prevent policy
7. / Reactive Maintenance
Other than Whiteknights all present had opted into the reactive maintenance traded service. Email had been sent out advising what was included in the contract however some areas were still causing confusion.
Whiteknights advised that they got the same price for the Aquacare contract doing it independently as WBC.
General concerns raised that invoices for reactive maintenance and gas and electric were not being sent out to schools.
8. / Tucasi
Whiteknights have adopted “zero tolerance” on dinner money payments which is working well and has reduced debtors. Hillside still having problems with debts, will review policy for September.
Whiteknights are using for online payments successfully. Hillside have just bought into Parent’s Evening, which is very successful, and Trips which they are yet to activate.
10. / Admin
ESP - Issue raised about time office staff spend calling parents for forgotten items. Hillside is advising parents that from September they will not contact parents for forgotten items on the basis of “nurturing independence”.
