Congratulations to our Poetry Out Loud school winner, Sukanya Harris! Sukanya will represent Eagle’s Landing in the Metro Regional Poetry Out Loud competition. A big shout out to all of the contestants who performed in today’s school-wide competition!
The 11th annual Black History Read In will take place in the media center on Wednesday, February 1st. Please drop in and read works by black authors and related to black history from 3:30 to 4:40. We will have books to check out and will celebrate with food and drink.
HOSA Members – please come to the meeting after school TOMORROW if you are interested in participating in the State Leadership Conference on March 9-11, and to receive information on fees and the parent letter.
Tryouts for girls’ lacrosse will continue TODAY after school 3:45-5:15. Completed packets are required. Wednesday make-up tryouts are available upon request.
There will a planning meeting for the Black History Program scheduled for February 17th during 5th, 6th, and 7th period TOMORROW from 3:35pm to 4:15pm in Room 705. Teachers, if you have students who are great orators, actors, dancers, and singers, please have them to see Ms. Stubbs to be a part of the program. Thank you in advance for your help in making this an awesome event. All positive feedback and suggestions are welcomed.
It is time to apply for Work-Based Learning. You can pick up an application packet in room 615 or from your counselor. All applications are due Friday, March 17th. Please see Ms. Brew in room 615 before or after school if you have any questions.
Any rising 11th or 12th grade students interested in 3rd year Alliance Health and Medicine for next year, please see Dr. Phan in room 818 for requirement information and application packet. All applications are due Wednesday, March 1st.
Attention Class of 2017 – Lifetouch will be here on Tuesday, January 31st to take Cap and Gown photos. Sign-up for an appointment with Mrs. Edwards in room 424. Times available are from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm. Girls need to wear a V-neck t-shirt or a tank top and boys need to wear a white t-shirt.
The Miss Golden Eagles Pageant will be at ELHS on February 4, 2017. This year we will have a Mrs. Golden Eagle as well – pick up your application from Dr. Horton.
Remember to place an order for your yearbook. Purchase yours today for only $85 in room 424 (during 6th period) or from Mrs. Edwards in room 622 during 4th period. The deadline to purchase online at (using school code 4003417) is March 31, 2017.
