Equip – Empower – Engage and Connect – A Susquehanna Conference event offering expanded day-long ministry track workshops centered around the mission of the local church. Various leaders and staff of Susquehanna Conference will offer workshops. Register online at where you can read full course descriptions. Or ask your pastor or church office to print the brochure for you. The cost of $5 includes lunch. We recommend this event for all of our Church leaders and teachers. If you can’t make it on this date, check out the other District’s dates on the website/brochure.

The Book Discussion group will meet on February 3 with lunch at 12:30 and the book discussion at 1:00. Please contact me (Marlene Hess at 532-8374 or ) if you are interested in joining our book club, and she will give you the information about where we will be meeting each month. Nursery care is available during worship service for children under the age of 5. If you have a young child and would like to take advantage of our nursery care please do not hesitate to contact one of the greeters or any of the ushers before or even during the worship service.

Our church greatly appreciates the generosity of M & T Bank and Orrstown Bank for allowing us the use of their parking lots during our worship services. There will be four designated parking spots in the M&T parking lot on Sunday mornings; two are for handicap parking and two for visitor parking. Overflow parking is available in the Orrstown Bank parking lot.

TOTES FOR TOTS: If you have a baby or toddler with you during worship this morning, our ushers will be happy to give you a tote filled with toys/books for children ages 0-5. At the end of the service, just leave the bag on your pew, and we'll take care of it. If your little one would like to take something with him/her from the tote bag, let it be our gift to you! We're so glad to have the children at worship with us!

Welcome to Christ United Methodist Church! We especially greet those who are worshiping with us for the first time and rejoice that you have chosen to spend this special time with God and us. Feel free to secure a maroon colored information packet about Christ Church found near each door. As God leads, we welcome you to become an active participant with us!! If you desire to speak with our pastor, please contact the church office.

Who’s in the pew? Welcome pads are located near the end of each pew. Its purpose is to note your presence with us and to help you greet those near you. If we do not have your contact information, we would be most pleased to receive it. Thanks for your cooperation as we endeavor to welcome everyone with love and peace.

Special sound enhancement devices for those with an auditory deficiency are available at the sound table in the rear of the sanctuary.

Prayer request cards are available in the red pew Bibles. Please look for an usher to collect the card during the first hymn with your special prayer request. Keep in mind that only cards that have been checked for sharing will be mentioned aloud during service and included in bulletins.

The Yarn Spinnerswill meet on the Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00am in the church library. Anyone who knits or crochets is welcome.

John Wesley: Holiness of Heart and Life is a six-week study on John Wesley, the major themes of his theology, the spread of Wesleyanism to North America, and renewal in the Wesleyan tradition. Author, Charles Yrigoyen, Jr., a retired clergy member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference has been a local church pastor, college teacher and chaplain, and for twenty-four years the General Secretary of the General Commission on Archives and history. He has taught at five theological seminaries and has written or edited eight books and numerous articles.This study will be offered on Thursday evenings beginning January 16. Please sign up, so we can order books accordingly.

For those desiring to have offering envelopes for the upcoming 2014 year, please pick them up on the table in Hollar Hall. Thank you.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather if there is an early school dismissal or closing all activities for that evening are cancelled and the church may be closed, please call ahead.
