General Policies:
- Class ends when the bell rings. Do not gather your belongings or line up near the door.
- Extra help is available most days; it is advisable to make an appointment.
- A grade average log should be kept in your notebooks at all times. As a result, your marking period grade will never come as a surprise.
- Be respectful! Show respect to everyone and everything.
GRADING: Three-five tests per marking period, quizzes, projects, presentations, worksheets, homework assignments and participation contribute to the marking period grade. Points are totaled and calculated as a percentile of the total possible points.
TESTS & QUIZZES:
1. Tests will be announced at least 3 days in advance while quizzes may be announced or unannounced.
2. Tests will be returned and reviewed during class, however, you may not take tests home. Feel free to come in after class and discuss test questions.
3. Absence from school the day prior to a test or an announced quiz is NOT an excuse for missing the test or quiz as scheduled.
4. There are no re-tests for failing grades.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Each assignment must have your name and date submitted. The assignment must be legible and on white paper that is not torn.
2. Assignments will be considered late after I collect them. Assignments will drop one letter grade for each subsequent day they are late. After 3 days, you will receive a zero for that assignment.
3. It is your responsibility to discuss special circumstances regarding assignments (prior to the due date). Make-up due to absence is YOUR responsibility. See a classmate for notes and see me to reschedule due dates.
