Bayville COED Softball Rules 2017

  1. We will be playing 10 players 6 male and 4female or 5 male and 5 female (4 Females are a must max of 6 males on the field) All female MUST play the field2 in the infield 2 in the outfield and not the catcher. they can not be the extra hitter.
  2. Minimum of 8 players can play the game but spots 9 and 10 will be outs
  3. Maximum of 12 may hit, Extra Player 11 and 12 must be 1 male and 1 female (you can bat extra female or male for odd number)
  4. Games will start at 7:00 pm vet 1 and 7:30 vet 3forfeit time will be 7:10 pm,and 7:40 pm minimum of 8 to start must be 3 female and 5 male (Please be on time) You MUST have a Min of 4 females to play no less, if Batting 12 you will need 5 females
  5. Games are 1 hour time limits (Finish the inning) 2nd game will finish the inning
  6. Lights are $20.00 per hour per field. Don’t be late as we Pay by the hour.
  7. Courtesy runners are allowed they will be last recorded out, male for male female for female. One courtesy runner per inning 1 male or 1 female only. If runner caught on base and runner is due up at the plate runner is declared out. (you can not sub for a sub runner)
  8. Home run limit will be 2 over the fence after that they will be outs
  9. You will start with a 1 and 1 count after 2 strikes ball must be put in play (no fouls to waste).
  10. Walks to male player guy gets second girl must hit unless 2 outs then girl has the option to hit. . If a guy follows a guy he only gets 1st base.
  11. You will be playing 6 inning games with a run rule in effect
  12. Run rule will be 12 after 3, 10 after 4, and 8 after 5
  13. Umpires have full control of game once they arrive to the field to make calls about weather, If a pitch is thrown and the game has started the umpire is paid for the game both teams will split the cost of the game if only one game is played ($20 per team)
  14. $40.00 total per game fee
  15. Uniforms can be what ever you want
  16. Rosters are due by the 3rd week maximum of 18 players on a roster You may use subs from another team as long as both teams agree.
  17. Must play a minimum of 10 games to be able to play in playoffs
  18. Please submit lineup cards to Umpires at game day they will send them to the League after the game has been played, (last name)
  19. This will be an ASA league all rules not covered will follow ASA COED rules
  20. Only ASA approved bats will be allowed on the field, umpires will check all bats before game, Once game starts no bats will be allowed into the game ( so if 5 bats were checked game starts you have 5 bats to use) Don’t bring a bat out of a bat bag and try to get it in the game get it out early and leave it out)
  21. Ball will be 12 inch only ASA 52 core 300 compression
