CO’s Parade
SUMMER DRESS
This will also be Promotion Night and parents are welcome to attend this part of the evening and take pictures if they wish to. The parade and promotion part of the evening will start at 1900 and should be concluded by 1945.
SPRING FTX May 5, 6, & 7
REQUIRED – KIT WILL BE CHECKED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE
Large sturdy Kit Bag Lined with Garbage Bag/waterproof bag (Often you may have to hike to campsite from the road.
At least:
- 4 pairs of underwear
- 4 pairs of sport socks
- 4 pairs of wool socks
- 3 pairs of pants ( No Jeans)
- 3 T-shirts
- 1 Long sleeve shirt
- 1 warm sweater
- Sleep Kit – sleepwear (Pyjamas)portable/inflatable pillow, small blanket
- Hat
- Toque
- 2 pair gloves
- Jacket
- 1 pair warm waterproof boots (preferable not rubber boots)
- 1 pair hiking boots
- Rain gear
- Note pad and pen/pencil
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Personal Toiletries – tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, hairbrush/comb, hand towel, deodorant, wet wipes etc
- Water bottle and non glass mug
- Chap Stick and Foot Powder
- Basic 1st aid kit (bandaids, alchol wipes,Polysporin)
- HEALTH CARD
- Sleeping Bags provided
- Cell Phones will be confiscated and held in safe keeping, and used for calls to parents only
- The weather may be cold and wet: cadets are encouraged to bring any additional clothing to suit the weather
- ** DRESS IN LAYERS**
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Matches/lighters ( matches will be provided when needed)
- Knives
- Personal Stereos/discman/Walkman
- Cigarettes
- Any outside food
- Inappropriate reading material
MEDICATION
Personal medications will be kept with the cadets, however OCdt Soo Lum must be notified of all medications and will supervise such use
This includes all prescription and non-prescription medications (including Tylenol etc)
Cadets with asthma will be required to keep their inhalers on them at all times.
Cadets with bee allergies will be required to keep their ana-kit/epi pen on them at all times

UNIFORM WORKSHOP:
Monday May 8th, @TDH, 1830-2100, all cadets strongly encouraged to attend. Come get coaching on how to do your uniform properly (hair, boots, pants, sewing etc...) before ACR. Wear appropriate civilian clothing, but make sure to bring your full dress uniform, as well as polishing kit, iron+board (if possible) and sewing kits. If any questions, ask FSgt Feuillat and/or FSgt Donnelly.

Legion Dinner Saturday May 13 1600-1900 hrs
We need 15 cadets to help serve dinner to the Legion. This is a good opportunity to show your appreciation for their donations to the squadron. It also is a great way to do some community work and use these hours for both school and cadet volunteer hours

58 Squadron’s KIT SHOP page is now active, On the main page click the tab Kit Shop for a direct link up and running by the weekend.
PS – Parents stop by our new Kit Shop for those extra special gifts for school graduations, Easter gifts, birthdays and any other reason to reward your deserving cadets OR maybe even yourselves.
