DURHAM TRACK & FIELD CLASSIC

Dear Track Coach,

All-Saints C.S.S, Notre-Dame C.S.S, Uxbridge SS and É.S.C Saint-Charles-Garnier are proud to inform you that we will be hosting the 7thAnnualDURHAM TRACK & FIELD CLASSIC Championship. The event will take place at Oshawa Civic Fields, site of the 2013 OFSAA Track and Field Championship, on Wednesday May 3th and Thursday May 4th 2017.

This meet boasts all standard events (see attached meet schedule)in addition to an elite 1500m Invitational race, sponsored by Running Free Ajax. Ribbons will be given out in all events to the top 6competitors. Furthermore, a CHAMPIONSHIP CUP will be awarded to team with the highest aggregate score. Congratulations to Notre-Dame C.S.S from Ajaxwho were last year’s champions with a total of 311pts.

All entries are to be completed online at An information sheet with online registration instructions is attached. Entries can be checked and updated until Monday May 1stby6pm. (POST ENTRIES WILL BE 10$ per entry - no limit). Coaches will be responsible for ensuring that all information is accurate. Coaches will be asked to supervise/officiate one event. Please be sure to indicate your officiating preference when completing your online entries. This information will be used where possible to ensure coaches are officiating in their area of expertise.

AGE CLASSIFICATIONS:MIDGET: under age 15 as of January 1st of this school year, and in Gr. 9.

JUNIOR: under age 16 as of January 1st of this school year.

SENIOR: under age 20 as of January 1st of this school year.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 place finishers

Scoring: OFSAA Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1

An annual aggregate trophy will be awarded to the top overall school

Changes must be made by Monday May 2nd (6pm) (Post Entries 10$ per entry)

Competitors may enter three individual events plus one age class relay, and one open relay.

THERE WILL BE A LIMIT OF 5 ATHLETES PER SCHOOL PER EVENT.

Schools may enter one relay team per division.

Entry Fee: $7.00/entry, $10.00/relay team – Max 400$ per school. Post entries are 10$, no max.

Cheques are to be made payable to Saint-Charles-Garnier

General Info: All events are finals (Photo timing will be used for Track events. Field events will consist of 3 attempts and minimum standards will be used for measuring)

Athletes must wear distinctive school tops (numbers will be provided)

Coaches will be asked to supervise/officiate one event in some capacity

Medical personnel will be on site during the meet.

* If this is your first meet this season with theTrack Database online entries you must register first: (Returning users see “login” below)

* Select ‘Register’ from the menu on the left to bring you to the registration page that will allow you to register your team. On your first visit to the registration system you will need to provide all the information required. OFSAA & CISAA have restricted modification abilities as much of their information is generated automatically.

* Registration now uses a username and password, the username you create must be unique and cannot be changed. This username and password can be shared between the coaching team to allow multiple coaches to do registrations for segments of the team.

* When you enter team data, be sure to use an email address which is checked often as any communication with either the meet convener, or trackDatabase.com will likely be time sensitive. Using the online entry system, your entries will be emailed to you prior to the entry close date in order to allow you time to review your entries and make any changes needed. These dates are set by your convener and should be noted in your meet package.

* Select ‘Login’ from the menu on the left and use the username and password from your previous meet(s).

* Joining a Meet:

* To join a new meet, select ‘Join Meet’ from the left menu. You will be prompted to enter the meet code provided by the convener. After entering this code and clicking the join meet button you will be added to the meet and it will now appear on your meet homepage.

* Adding your entries:

* The sign-up for relays is located under the "Athlete" heading. Select ‘Relay Entries’ to access to those events. It is automatically added to your entries list. Registering athletes for relays is done here as well.

* For all other events, you can select them in the edit view for each athlete, check the box beside the event to register for it, clicking submit at the bottom of the page will save the data entered. Seed times may optionally be entered for running events in the box provided.

* Copy Entries:

* After choosing the meet to edit, click the “copy entries” button, located at the top of the entries listing. This will bring up a form to select the meet you would like to copy the entries from.

* After selecting the source meet, a listing of all the athletes and entries from your team will come up, click the box beside the entries you would like to copy and click copy entries. The system will alert you if any of the copied entries are for events that don’t match the current meet.
