Greetings,

You are invited to participate in the Duke Homestead Pie contest! If you would like to participate in the contest, please read the following Participant Agreement and return your completed pre-registration card. Thank You!

SCHEDULE:

Entry drop-off ends at 10:30AM. Entries must be dropped off at theWelcome Tablealong with their ingredient lists. Entries should be clearly labeled with the contestant’s contact information (as indicated below).

OFFICIAL RULES:

Persons aged 7 and over are eligible to enter. There is only one entry per person. All persons involved in the production of the competition are prohibited from entering.You must be pre-registered to enter.

All pie entriesmustbe baked in an aluminum foil pan, and pans willnotbe returned. An ingredient listmustaccompany each entry. Please state if the recipe is original or the source of the recipe on the ingredient list. All ingredient lists must be clearly printed or typed on an 8.5x11” sheet of paper; please include your NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, RECIPE NAME, RECIPE CATEGORY, and SOURCE OF RECIPE.

We ask that contestants bake and bringtwopies to ensure that there is enough pie for the judges.

JUDGING: Entries will be judged for taste, presentation, and creativity. This is a blind judging competition, and all decisions of the judges are final.

AWARDS: There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place designations. Awards will be announced at 12PM at the outdoor stage.

GENERAL: By participating in this event, contestants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the judges. Entrants will agree to release Duke Homestead and all who participate in the production of this event from any liability without limitation.
