RE: MINUTES: ASSESSOR’S APRIL 21, 2017 MONTHLY MEETING

The Dudley Board of Assessors held its meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017. Assessor Szymczak, Assessor BrousseauandPrincipal Assessor, Lisa Berg were in attendance.Assessor Allen did not attend.

The meeting was called to order at 8:04 a.m.

The Board signed various vouchers and payroll.

Assessor Szymczak and Assessor Brousseau tabled the March 10, 2017 meeting minutes as Assessor Brousseau was not in attendance for that meeting and Assessor Allen was not present to vote and approve those minutes.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve $8,666.11 in motor vehicle excise abatements for the month of March, 2017. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the Levy 2017 motor vehicle re-commitment #15 in amount of $142.50. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the Levy 2017 motor vehicle commitment #2 in the amount of $112,009.69. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to deny the real estate abatement application for Map 112, Lot 118, Unit 027. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the real estate abatement application for Map 118, Lot 87.1 in the amount of $403.57. This parcel wasover assessed. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the Farmland Valuation Advisory Commission (FVAC) values “Average” value column. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the 2018 Tax Map Maintenance Proposal for CAI Technologies in the amount of $2,875.00. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the real estate abatement for Map 221, Lot 7.1 in the amount of $948.50. This taxpayer’s property needed to be apportioned. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the Levy 2017 motor vehicle excise commitment #13 in the amount of $210.00. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the “Locally Assessed Utility Cover Letter” for the utility net book personal property values as required by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the roll back taxes for Edwin J. Zajac (LE), Timothy Zajac in the amount of $4,010.09. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to approve the February 10, 2017 meeting minutes. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

Assessor Brousseau made a motion to hold the next Board of Assessor’s meeting on May 12, 2017. Assessor Szymczak seconded. Passed.

The meeting adjourned at 8:12.
