The bacterial meningitis immunization is a state law for colleges. Most students have one prior to their 7th grade year and then need another around their 11th year in school. If our school has a record of this we can send it to TVCC.
Current TVCC Dual Credit students need to check their immunization dates and turn in their dual credit forms on time.
SUMMER CLASSES OPEN FOR REGISTRATION on April 2, 2018. Mrs. Dominguez will send your registration form to TVCC as soon as you turn it in. Failure to do things on time may result in you not being able to get into the class that you would like. (last day to register is May 17)
FALL CLASSES – Forms due by April 16 – Can be turned later but class choice will be limited.

FAQ
How much does this cost?
One class is approximately $187 (if you are in TVCC district). Books must also be rented or purchased for each class. Classes with labs cost more.
Who teaches these classes?
TVCC Instructors teach the classes in an online format. You must be computer literate and able to keep up with your own work without any oversight. There is a teacher in the computer lab to help you with technical issues or problems with instructors.
Will my college credit transfer to a university?
Yes. Most core/elective classes will transfer. If you have a specific university in mind you should check their website for any exclusions.
Can I work on my class at home?
Yes. It is your class. We provide a class period in the blue room computer lab but you are allowed to work on the class at any time.
What is the difference between dual credit and concurrent enrollment?
Concurrent means that a high school student is taking a college course but not receiving high school credit. Dual means that both high school and college credit are being earned.
Can I go to the college campus for classes?
Yes, during the summer or at night you can take classes on campus. Terrell is the closest campus to us.
How do I pay for the classes?
You will go online to pay for your classes. After you have been accepted and registered for class your cardinal connection account will be created. You can also go to Terrell to pay if you prefer. There are online payment plans available.
What if I am failing a dual credit class?
You need to let the counselor know if you are not succeeding in a class. If you need to drop the class you must do so before certain dates or the grade will stay on your college transcript.
