DT BOOSTER CLUB MEETING
June 9, 2010
7:00 P.M.
Members Present: Greg & Judy Buhr, Sally Lorence, Chris & Melinda Sullivan, Greg Sinner, Joy Utecht
May Minutes: Motion by Joy, second by Greg to approve as submitted.
Financial Report: no report-full report next month
Clothing Report: no report. Will consider using Barry Keller in the future for designing (t-shirts for youth tournaments)
Photo Buttons: no update from baseball team who wanted us to make buttons-will need to add to inventory for next fall
Spring Sports Meals: everything has been taken care of
MAC Book Contest: pizza/pop party was a success-Joy reported her class enjoyed doing the i-movies for the computer
Calendar Ad Sales: Still have 1 large ad and 2 small ads to sell
Requests from school: Electronic scoreboards will be installed with Bank Of Doniphan donating for one and Booster Club donating the other. Coach Sochor will make metal plates showing who donated them.
All School BBQ/Bonfire: Focus will be on adding to our membership-menu will be the same as last year-hamburgers/fries. Pep rally will follow for the fall sports.
Booster Fun Day: no date set as of yet-more info at next meeting-could possibly be set for a Sunday in July-check the school website for more info.
Election of Officers: Discussion was held to get new members involved in the leadership aspect of our club. More discussion next month.
3-Dog Night: Oct. 1 will be the fall 3-dog night. We will ask Doniphan Dental to sponsor the fall one.
7th Grade Orientation: Greg will be speaking at this to promote the Booster Club membership. Calendars and clothing will be sold that night. Judy and Melinda will plan to be there to help.
Booster Policy changes: We need to get a policy/procedure book created to outline our specific policies. A notebook will be kept for each year with minutes and notes.
New Members, getting Members involved and need for a Membership Coordinator: Orientation and bbq will be the targets for new membership. We need to continue to recruit new members. We will try to get an all-school family list with numbers or emails so we can call to ask for help when we have projects coming up.
Youth Tournament: Joy reported that the Close-up group will not be doing all the concessions next year. If we would like to do our own concessions as a fundraiser, this is the time to do it. Joy will be the chairman to get that organized.
