Lucan Disability Action Group Limited (LDAG) currently has vacancies for Drivers as outlined below.

These are both full-time and part-time positions involving a broad range of duties which will include driving an accessible vehicle transporting LDAG clients with disabilities.

Candidates must hold as a minimum a clean B licence (preferably D1).

The positions are offered for an initial six months duration but may be for longer depending on LDAG circumstances.

Main duties of posts:

To drive the vehicle as directed by the transport co-ordinator and the manager of LDAG.
To ensure that safe and caring driving standards are maintained at all times.
To ensure that daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks are carried out and any faults reported immediately.
To be familiar with and maintain all safety equipment and medical supplies fitted to the vehicle.
To ensure that the vehicle is kept clean at all times.
To have overall responsibility for the vehicle during operation, including the control of accident and breakdown procedures.
To attend training courses as directed by the manager.
To prepare vehicle reports as necessary.
To undertake any other agreed tasks as required by the manager.

Additional Work

To report to the manager on a day-to-day basis for the delivery of the service.
To participate fully in regular support and supervision sessions and team meetings.

Hours of employment – A full-time driver is expected to work 39 hours per week; a part-time driver is expected to work 19.50 hours per week exclusive of all breaks. LDAG operates transport from Monday to Sunday incl. between 08.00 – 24.00, with working hours flexible and by agreement within this time frame, including public holidays and excluding such closures as will be allowed for at Christmas and Easter.

Rate of pay:Full-time - €409.50 per weekPart-time - €204.75 per week

Annual Leave: 20 days annual leave pro rata per annum.

Place of work –LDAG Offices, Unit 24 Hills Industrial Estate, Lucan, Co. Dublin, however LDAG reserves the right to change the place of work should this be necessary. Advance notice will be given of any changes.

Drivers normally operate directly from their homes.
