Information & General Show Rules

1) USA Equestrian/USDF rules will be used as reference. Competitors are strongly encouraged to read the rules, as eliminations have occurred in the past due to simple infractions stemming from lack of knowledge.

2) Boots and hard hats (or derbies for adult dressage) are REQUIRED. Jackets are required and braiding is encouraged for the Championship classes. Braiding and jackets are not required for the Open classes.

3) Open Introductory tests may be ridden in a small (20 x 40 meter) court. All other tests will be ridden in a standard dressage court. The footing is sandy. Dressage classes will use 2007 USDF Introductory Level tests and 2007 SAE tests for Training Level and above. Bits may be checked in dressage classes.

4) Show management reserves the right to limit entries, add or divide classes, substitute judges, or make whatever changes are required by circumstances. Appropriate scheduling may require changing the order of the classes.

5) Closing Date: Entries must be postmarked by the closing date listed on the entry form. No telephone entries will be accepted. No refunds will be given without a veterinarian’s or doctor’s certificate presented to the show management.

6) Dressage ride times will be mailed or e-mailed. A self-addressed, stamped envelope or a valid, legible e-mail address must be included with your entry.
