1. Summary of Survey
Govt. Monotechnic Institute (G.M.I) Kohsar was established in 1998, to offer 3 years Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E) in Mechanical technology with total enrollment capacity of 120 students, on an area of 87120 sq.ft. (2 acres) and covered area 15500 sq.ft.
The institution is situated at about (7 to 8) kilometers away from centre of city; there is no public transport route / arrangement of transportation of institution’s own as well as public transport.
Although, the building structure is in good condition, butneeds repair ofCracks in walls, / replacement of damaged Drainage line and sanitary fittings and Electric fittings.
Major problems of this institute arethe installation of Gas and Water supply connection, Construction of Foundry Shop, Heat Engine Lab., Hydraulic Lab. with installation, appointment of non-teaching staff.
Over all abovethe Board’s Examination results for the last 03 years, are 79.8% in 2005, 60.53% in 2006 and 67.26% in 2007.
