DR. TANIA A.SHAKOORI

(MBBS, PhD)

Dr. Tania Ahmed Shakoori is a TTS Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, King Edward Medical University. She graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College (University of the Punjab) obtaining a gold medal in Physiology. After winning the HEC Indigenous PhD scholarship, she went on to pursue her doctorate in Human Physiology from Faculty of Medicine, University of the Punjab (Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex), completing her bench work involving molecular genetic analysis at the School of Biological Sciences, University of the Punjab. She has extensive experience teaching Medical Physiology to undergraduate and post graduate medical students. She is an HEC recognised and PMDC approved PhD supervisor. She has published several original research articles in international and national impact factor journals. Her research interests include airway diseases, surfactant proteins and obesity. She is also involved in medical education projects.
