DPD reinforces its management in Germany: Boris Winkelmann appointed COO

Aschaffenburg,7March2013 –With effect from 18 March 2013 Boris Winkelmann(42) will be taking up the newly-created post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and with it the operational management of DPD GeoPost (Deutschland) GmbH. In this post he will report directly to DPD CEO Arnold Schroven.

"Boris Winkelmanncombines vast experience of the industry with in-depth knowledge of DPD and our management", explains DPD CEO Arnold Schroven. "As a result he is ideally qualified to meet the challenges facing DPD in the future and strengthen our leadership ambition in the German market."

In addition to his position as CEO of DPD GeoPost (Deutschland) GmbH Arnold Schroven will, in his role as CEO of DPD Dynamic Parcel Distribution GmbH & Co. KG,continue to drive forward DPD'sinternational development."I'm looking forward to being able to devote myself increasingly to strategic tasks in future, with the aim of enhancing the capacity of DPD's European network further", he explains.

Boris Winkelmannhas 19 years of experience in the express and parcels business. He began his career in 1994 at the group HQ of TNT Express, where he held a number of management positions before moving to DPD's majority shareholderGeoPost in 1999. At GeoPost, a wholly owned subsidiary of France's La Poste,BorisWinkelmann was responsible for coordinating the acquisition of a majority shareholding in DPD in Germany, which was successfully completed in the year 2001. Over the past 10 years he has built up and managed the online shipping service LetMeShip, the leading information and market research service CEP-Research and the M&A consulting company ITA Consulting. These companies will now be under the sole management of his brother and co-founder MarkWinkelmann. Boris Winkelmannis married and has two children.
