PGD / MBA in SCM Program
MBA in Supply Chain Management (MBA-SCM) and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD-SCM) are being offered for the prospect professionals who want to excel their career in the fast growing field of supply chain management with an option of PGD, post graduate diploma – 1 Year OR MBA, Supply Chain Management – 2 Year Degree program while PGD would also lead to MBA after completion of courses requirements.
MBA-SCM hence emphasizes acquisition of professional knowledge and skills relevant to the materials n production planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, distribution and other related fields particularly in a manufacturing organization and also in a complex trading concerns. The curriculum involves academic, professional and field activities. Learning through various courses is applied through internship(s), and research project(s).
MBA-SCM requires the participants to earn 72 credit hours from 24 courses (3 credit hours each totaling 63 credit hours), a supervised internship / project (3 credit hours) during the summer break between the first and second year and a research project (6 credit hours) in the fourth and final semester. For PGD-SCM participants would require to earn 33 credit hours from 12 courses (3 credit hours each totaling 30 credit hours), an internship / project (3 credit hours) at the end of one year.
Eligibility
MSCM / PGD-SCM is well-suited for fresh to mid-career health professionals having 14-16 year education with a four year bachelor’s degree in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, bio-medical engineering or other allied disciplines or two year bachelor’s degree in various other disciplines preferably with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university or degree awarding institution along with some experience in supply chain management function(s) of a working organization.
Selection
Selection of the participants will be made on pure merit. It will base on candidates’ past academic record, score in admission test and performance in selection interview.
Future Prospects
Successful participants may have opportunities to serve on management and leadership positions particularly in supply chain function and operations functions of a manufacturing / trading or services concern and generally in any leading role for a governmental and non-governmental organizations, healthcare organizations, international agencies etc. with decision making competencies.
