Meeting Minutes -- Monday February 13, 2006
Meeting called to order by President Wacker at 7:00 PM.
Brief description of DMCG. Where to find website and how to sign up for e-mail notifications.
Introduction of Officers of DMCG.
Introduction of Carol McGorray, Councilwoman, Town of Marana
Introduction of Bill Hallinan, VP Cottonwood Properties.Mr. Hallinan to present latest information about entrance to Dove Mountain and the new shopping center being erected on the northeast corner of Tangerine and Dove Mountain Blvd.
Power Point computer presentation of DoveMountainRetailCenter. illustrations showing details of layout of stores and services, including extra lane on Tangerine and Dove Mountain Blvd to provide easy access. There will be an identifying DoveMountainMonument on both sides of Dove Mountain Blvd. Construction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2006.
There will be a 300-foot wide natural desert barrier between the retail center and surrounding homes. There will also be a high wall behind the stores to reduce noise and conceal behind the scenes access to the center for delivery of goods and pickup of trash. The stores themselves will be up to 35-feet tall.
Landscaping in the parking area will break up an otherwise car-filled parking lot in front of the stores.
Bashas Supermarket, an upscale version (similar to the one at Swan and River will be the prime merchant. Views of architectural designs were presented.
In addition to Bashas, the following shops are currently confirmed with others still to be contracted.
Walgreens Drug Store.
Wells Fargo Bank.
Robert Shapiro of Wells Fargo talked about the new branch.
London Salon.
Allstate Insurance.
Fitness for Life.
Real Estate Office.
Dry Cleaners.
Pool Supply.
Catalina Mart (Gas Station and Convenience Store)
Other businesses will include Coffee Shop.

There will be a total of 10 – 15 stores in the basic center. The Walgreens and the Wells Fargo bank will be on pads around the perimeter of the Center.
During a question and answer period which was limited to questions about the retail center, Mr. Hallinan answered all questions from the audience of about 300 DoveMountain residents. At the end of this time, the meeting was adjourned by President Wacker at 8:00PM.
Mr. Hallinan and others remained to respond to any additional comments and questions.
