DONOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

(Full-time)

(Location: Charleston, SC)

The mission of the Lowcountry Food Bank is to lead the fight against hunger in our community. The Lowcountry Food Bank was founded in 1983 as a clearinghouse for donated food items through the generosity of Trident United Way and Coastal Community Foundation. In 2016, the LCFB partnered with approximately 300 agencies to distribute over 26 million pounds of food to over 275,000 food-insecure children, seniors, and adults. The Donor Relationship manages the donor database; oversees all donor data entry and gift acknowledgements; provides donor reports and mailing lists to development team; acts as internal data contact for direct mail vendor; works with finance department to ensure balance between donor database and financial reports; performs periodic data analysis and donor research. This position provides additional support as needed to the Director of Major Gifts and the Development Department.

The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree, and/or equivalent years of education and experience. A minimum three to five years of experience in volunteer and/or project management. The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Be a relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to “manage by influence”. The Donor Relationship Manager must have a flexible schedule with availability to attend weekend and evening events as needed. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; periodic travel will be necessary.
