Red Ribbon Week

This year the theme for Red Ribbon Week was “I have the POWER to be Drug Free!” Students in grades Kdg.-2 participated in a coloring contest by coloring a picture of a Superhero. Students in grades 3-6 participated in a Window Art Contest by creating a poster using this year’s theme.

There were many excellent entries in both of the categories, and that made it very hard to choose. There were two winners in both contests. For the KG-2 Coloring Contest, the winner wasDylan French in Ms. Erin’s second grade class and Abby Huffman in Mrs. Riebsomer’s first grade class!

For the grades 3-6 Window Art Contest, the winners were Amaya Lively inMr. Newkirk’s sixth grade, and Stella Foster in Mrs. Judd’s 5th grade class. On October 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the students either painted their drawings on downtown business windows.

Labels for P.T.O.

Please continue to collect the labels because they help our school earn supplies. The labels will be collected at the end of November!

Message from Mrs. McCreary…

I am so thankful for all my staff, students and their families. So many of you have been a blessing to my life as principal of Frazee Elementary School. Thanksgiving is a time tofocus on the good in our lives. In each of our days, we can find blessings, but too often we overlook them, choosing instead to spend time paying attention to problems and the negative things surrounding us. Let’s look for the good in each hour, and appreciate the people who bring love, hope and a light to everyone. Let us all be that person who is a blessing to others. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!
