  1. Personal Professional Goal(s) - clear and measurable, tied to specific Domain(s) and Element(s)
My professional goal is to become proficient at understanding and using the Art & Science of Teaching Framework to enhance my teaching performance and student achievement. This would include participating in a district wide initiative to implement our new evaluation tool as part of Domain 4 Element 60.
  1. Student Impact Statement
1)What are the learning needs of my students?
2)What do I need to learn to assist them in their learning?
3)What are the resources available to help me meet my Personal Professional goal?
The learning needs of our students include a wide range of abilities that require a variety of instructional methods and approaches to assure academic progress for all learners. The students need to receive core curriculum instruction that is at their instructional level while being engaging and motivating so that they achieve full academic gains. These instructional componentsare part of theMarzano’s Art and Science of Teaching Framework with four domains and 60 elements. The focus on learning and implementing this tool, which is research proven, will direct instruction to increase academic achievement for all students.
I will independently and in staff trainings learn how to use the iObservation tool as a resource for instructional practices. I will continue to learn specifics of the 60 different elements with the 4 domains of the evaluation tool along with the indicators of these 60 elements. As I learn to use this tool directly related to instructional practices, this will assist students in their learning as it relates to the elements for classroom strategies and behaviors.
